A Canadian doctor is preparing to open a new eye clinic in Malawi, with Hongdee Corporation set to supply the facility’s ophthalmic equipment.
The doctor’s goal is to bring high-quality, accessible eye care to local communities. Hongdee will provide the equipment needed to support that mission.
After evaluating the clinic’s operational requirements, Hongdee recommended a set of diagnostic, refractive, and surgical-grade devices tailored to Malawi’s clinical environment. All equipment meets international standards and local regulatory requirements, with the shared aim of strengthening eye care services in the country.
“This project reflects exactly what we aim to do—deliver reliable, affordable eye care tools to professionals wherever they are,” a Hongdee spokesperson said. “We look forward to supporting the clinic from launch through long-term growth.”
The clinic’s opening date has not yet been announced.
